/portal on your Atrium URL and gives each client a focused view of their own work. Your branding (logo and colors) is applied automatically so the portal feels like a native part of your agency’s product.
Clients only see projects, files, and invoices that you have explicitly assigned to them. They have no visibility into other clients’ work or your internal dashboard.
What clients see
When a client logs in to the portal they land on their Projects list. From there, every project detail page has four tabs:
The project sidebar shows the project name, description, a read-only status progress bar, and the project timeline (start and end dates) when set.
Client authentication
Clients can sign in using either method:- Magic link
- Email and password
The client enters their email address on the login page. Atrium sends a one-time sign-in link to their inbox. Clicking the link logs them in immediately — no password required.
Notifications
Atrium keeps clients informed of activity on their projects through two notification channels:In-app notifications
In-app notifications
A notification indicator appears in the portal when there are new updates, file uploads, or invoices on the client’s projects. Notifications are fetched by real-time polling so the count updates without requiring a page refresh.
Push notifications
Push notifications
Clients can opt in to web push notifications (Web Push / VAPID). Once enabled, they receive browser notifications for new activity even when the portal tab is not open. Clients can manage this preference from their portal settings.
Paying invoices
Clients can pay invoices directly from the portal without leaving your branded experience. On the Invoices tab of any project, an unpaid invoice shows a Pay button that opens a Stripe Checkout session. After a successful payment, the invoice status updates to Paid in both the portal and your dashboard.Invoice payments require Stripe to be configured on your Atrium instance. See the Payments Overview for instructions.

The portal inherits your organization’s branding settings automatically. You can customize:- Logo — Uploaded from Settings → Branding. The logo appears in the portal header and is also used as the browser favicon.
- Primary color — Sets the accent color used for buttons, links, and the active status indicator in the project progress bar.
