Roles overview
Atrium uses three roles across the platform:Owner
Owner
Full access to everything in the organization. Owners can invite and remove team members, change roles, delete projects, and access all settings. There is no restriction on how many owners an organization can have. Only owners can invite other team members.
Admin
Admin
Can create, edit, and archive projects, manage clients, create and send invoices, upload files, and post updates. Admins cannot invite or remove other team members, change roles, or delete projects.
Member (client)
Member (client)
Portal-only access. Members see only the projects they are assigned to. They cannot access the dashboard at all. This role is assigned automatically when you invite a client.
The Member role is for clients only. When you invite a team member, you choose between Admin and Owner.
Inviting a team member
Only owners can invite new team members.1
Go to People
In the dashboard sidebar, click People.
2
Open the Team tab
Click the Team tab at the top of the page.
3
Fill in the invite form
Enter the team member’s email address and select their role (Admin or Owner) from the dropdown.
4
Send the invitation
Click Invite. Atrium sends an invitation email and generates a unique invite link.
5
Share the invite link
After the invitation is created, Atrium displays the invite link on screen. Copy it and share it directly if the email doesn’t reach them.
Changing a team member’s role
Owners can change the role of any team member except themselves.1
Find the team member
On the Team tab of the People page, locate the member in the list.
2
Select a new role
Click the role badge next to the member’s name. A dropdown lets you switch between Admin and Owner.
3
Confirm
The role updates immediately.
Removing a team member
Owners can remove any team member except themselves.1
Find the team member
On the Team tab of the People page, locate the member in the list.
2
Click the remove icon
Click the trash icon next to the member’s name.
3
Confirm
Confirm the removal in the dialog. The member loses access to the dashboard and all projects immediately.
Team members vs. clients
The key distinction is dashboard access:
Clients are invited separately from the Clients tab on the People page, not from the Team tab. The invitation flow is the same, but the resulting role is always Member.
